A hardwood and boxwood chess set, King 13.2cm high, Pawn 5.2cm, in mahogany box.
Both black castles have damage to castellated top and lower rim. One black knight has chip to base rim. Several other pieces show surface defects and cracks in wood. Appears to be early twentieth century, in our opinion.
