(HP) An interesting Chinese hardwood and inlaid frame table screen, incorporating four Qianlong cloisonne enamel objects, two with carved jade elements, the whole 67.5 x 73cm.
3 sections of moulding which hold the black lacquer in place are missing. Some water stains to surface of bottom section of knave. Minor wear and denting to frame. Some scratching/marking to black lacquer background. Minor loss to cloisonne on objects and also minor wear to gilded surfaces. No damage seen to hardstone carvings but there may be some small chipping.
Difficult to measure jade as all are inset.
Largest - 75mm x 35mm
Lozenge - 45mm x 18mm
Roundel - 32mm long
Oval - 22mm long.
