A Louis X style tortoiseshell and gilt brass mounted mantel clock, the gong striking movement inscribed 'Maple & Co Ltd, Paris', 41.5cm high.
Minor chips around both winding holes, hands are rusted, discolouration to case on right hand side (fading), a split and veneer rising slightly on left hand side, area of veneer loss to front left side of dial mount, various other areas of minor damage/loss, front central lower mount loose, two pins missing. No key. (no guarantee can be given as to the whether the clock will run properly or keep good time, a service of the movement will probably be required.
