A rare 18th century French tin glazed faience chequer board, probably Rouen, with two lidded compartments, (one replaced), and a collection of associated coloured glass counters, 35 x 27.5cm.
One slide missing and replaced with a decorated cardboard and fabric copy. The other original slide has one crack. Some very small chips to underside edges, various firing defects, minor surface scratching due to age and use..
