A late 19th century Chinese gilt lacquer, tortoiseshell and ivory fan, the guards 28cm long; together with another interesting Chinese carved bamboo and watercolour fan, the guards engraved with script, 31cm long; and another watercolour painted Chinese fan. (3)

Ivory - One laquered arm detached from ivory. Two other longer arms splitting. One lacquered arm missing small 5mm section and detached from ivory. One of the lacquer sticks is half the width of the others for some reason? A metal section inserted where a split has formed on one of the guards. Some wear to lacquered decoration on sticks. Several small splits to the paper. Scattered staining to the paper and discoloration in places.
