Finished in Signal Red, a desirable manual transmission model with sunroof, this car was first registered on 25th September 1973. By 1981 the car was in the ownership of a Mr Alaman of Maidenhead. In February 1982 the car had covered 42,917 miles and was subject to a respray, engine and gearbox overhaul at a cost of £3,356. By July 1986 the car was in the ownership of a Mr Hinton of Poole. In his ownership the car was maintained by Jaguar Specialists, Marina Garage Ltd of Bournemouth. Commencing in February 1988 the car was subject to a bare metal respray and extensive mechanical overhaul, completed in March 1989 at a cost exceeding £14,000, the mileage at this time is recorded as 51,095. The car was subsequently purchased by Mr Christopher Luck for £19,880 on 12/8/94. In December 1995 a set of wire wheels were fitted. Invoices exceeding £13,500 suggest that the car has been extremely well maintained whilst in Mr Luck's care. There are no signs of any oil leaks.
The engine currently mis-fires when driven.
Selecting reverse gear requires a firm and decisive hand.
All four tyres are in good nearly new condition.
The are some isolated losses to the paint which require attention.
The exterior rear wheel arches have areas of respray and the colour is poorly matched.
There is some typical pitting to the chromework which requires cleaning.
The interior appears to be original and in used condition commensurate with age and use.
